Used for self-rescue and evacuation from elevated areas where the rate of descent cannot be controlled by the user and is approximately a constant 6' per second. Easily mounts to an overhead anchor point by attaching the snap hook to the harness chest D-Ring. Once a user jumps on the automatic descender, his descent will not stop until he has either reacheds the ground or the next closest level. The rate of descent is fast enough to allow for safe evacuation, but slow enough not to cause any injury when the user lands.
